8.00am Holy Communion
This is a contemplative, said service of Communion, following the Book of Common Prayer which takes place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. It includes a short sermon based on the set lectionary readings.
9.30am Family Communion
This service takes place on the second Sunday of the month, and enables all our church family and visitors to take communion together. It follows the Common Worship liturgy with robed clergy, and an original Gloria and Sanctus by a local composer. The traditional hymns are accompanied by our organist or pianist. Delicious fresh fair trade coffee and homemade refreshments are offered after the service.
9.30am Family Service
This service takes place on the fourth Sunday of the month. It is a time for the whole family and church community to come to church for worship and fellowship. The style of worship combines contemporary with traditional. Our beautiful organ is played regularly to accompany popular, traditional hymns and occasionally we have modern hymns with acoustic accompaniment.
We hope to provide really good refreshments after the service including an excellent cup of coffee from a specialist fair trade supplier passionate about coffee!
Evensong on St Andrew’s Day
We have an annual Evensong on St Andrew’s, day in late November. The candlelit service, with organ music led by a choir, and warm, spiced wine, mince pies and smoked salmon after the service, takes a traditional format.
* St Andrew’s has close links to St Peter’s, Over Wallop, and we alternate 9.30am and 8am services with St Peter’s.
A communion service is offered within the team on every Sunday of the year.
